Official tennis rankings update once a week, every Monday. Points, though, are won and lost the moment a match ends. atprank.com closes that gap. We recompute each player’s ranking live, as results come in, so you see where a player stands today rather than where they stood last Monday.
The live number is only half of it. We also answer the question every ranking-watcher carries around: what happens next? A result is worth points for 52 weeks and no longer. We track the date each one expires, how much a player has to defend in the weeks ahead, and the real net swing to their ranking as old points drop off and new ones take their place.
We don’t scrape a ranking and reprint it. We rebuild it from the ground up, the same way the tours do:

Most ranking sites stop at the top of the main tour. We go all the way down to the ITF feeder events, because that is where the points that decide the back half of the top 1,000 are won. That depth lets us compute an accurate live ranking for a rising Challenger player, not just for the household names. It is also what makes the fall-off calendar trustworthy for everyone, seeds and journeymen alike.
A computed ranking is only worth something if it matches reality. So every day we compare our engine’s settled totals, player by player, against authoritative live-ranking references for both tours. We publish the result on the homepage: the share of the top 1,000 whose points we match exactly, to the point. A discrepancy is a bug. We trace it to a specific cause and fix it rather than smoothing it over. Where our coverage is still catching up on a player’s results, we show the official figure and say so, plainly, instead of papering over the gap.
